  1. I have a downloaded AVI file, and the audio is very very quite so quite that the volume on the computer speakers has the be up as high as they go to even get it so that you can hear what is being said.

Can someone tell me if there is a way that the audio can be increased on a downloaded avi file and if so how?

I have created a vcd using a Belkin USB VideoBus 2, and the audio on that turned out that load that the tv had to be on as low as it goes to be at a reasonable level, where as the video that it come from had to be on mid range, so there must be some way to change it on the downloaded file so how is it?

  2. You can use an audio editing program like Cool Edit to amplify the audio of the avi. If you are encoding to VCD, TMPGEnc has its own built in audio editing program. You can use that to amplify the VCD audio.

Check Baldrick's guide He talks about conversion of audio formats but has a section that talks about how o amplify extracted audio.
