I'm thinking about buying this drive and unfortunately, I'm under a time constraint to get one soon (next day or two). I'm curious to see what the differences are in the United States between the OEM and the Retail versions of this drive. Does anyone know?
I've heard the OEM comes with software, but I'm not sure if it's as good as the software that comes with the retail version. The price difference is about $70 (OEM for around $259 and retail for around $329).
Also if anyone gets some reviews of this drive please post them.
I will post my experiences/info as I find it under this topic.
Thanks.

The oem version (dvr-106) doesn't come with any software, only the drive itself. The Retail version (dvr-A06) comes in the retail package that you would see at any retail store. It comes with software, cables, and manuals. Save yourself the money and get the oem version, the 106. It is an identical drive. If you already have a dvd burner, then chances are you already have the software that it would come with.
