I need to encode a video in XVid format into SVCD but I need to split into 2 CD.
The problem is when the second file is encode, it's only a black screen with no sound.
But when I move the slide in the "range" option, or enter manually the frame to begin (in my case 60090) It's very hars to see a picture of the frame whe enter the number.
And that, only with Xvid format...
Does I need to have another Xvid codec, and if so, where I can find the version of my xvid codec?
Thanks to help me!

I don't have the best solution for your problem but I have a work around. In the source range window avoid using the slider. Just click and enter the frame numbers directly into the start and end frame boxes. You can change them a little at a time until you get it just right.
Oops, I re-read your post and I see you're doing that already."Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa -
convert the entire move first then use tmpgenc mpeg tools to cut the movie in half

i had a similar problem and it was because of a bad frame, check for bad frames in virtualdub

I have solved my problem. I had the same problem like yours
Here is the method to solve your problem:
--First encode the first half movie,
start frame is 0
end frame for example 35020 (half of the movie)
--Encode the second half of the movie.
Do not start at frame 35020.. you should start below 35020 (35000 for exmaple)
this will solves your prob. -
I've found it better (less problems) to frame serve from VirtualDub, and do the splitting there.
