  1. yes, i did it. after a long time of divx-converting and tv-ripping i did my first dvd-rip. and woha! can't compare the quality of a simple vcd when the source is a pure, clean dvd to the vcd's i produced using tv-shows and divx as sources.

    i'm surprised. really. had to say this. g'n8!

  3. i use to think vcds were crap cause i always tried makin them using a downloaded divx movie as the source... once i tried a dvd rip i was shocked.

  5. Had did you encode it? If you think that was a shock try making a SVCD w/ CCE set at 3pass VBR

    But yeah, VCD is slightly better than VHS, if you have a good clean source. And I've made xSVCD that look as good as the original DVD (I mean no artifacts at all).
