  1. well ... can anybody help me out .....
    what i like to doo or is it possable
    i have... satalite.. im.captureing a film with my capture card eg .pinnacle studio deluxe... but then im lost coz if i capture over 1hr it dont fit on a dvd 4.7g disc ! how can i fit a film on to disc with out loseing the qualite or what format to use (thats capture)......


    (burning a disc ).... im useing pinnacle instant dvd.full to burn ie decrypt i have dvd decrypter to decrypte a dvd ok but my qust is if i capture a film off sat. and the film is bigger then 4.7gb how to put it on disc ? eg like dvd 2dvd through pinnacle instant

    Try capture with software that can use the Huffyuv codec (providing you have plenty of space) which will create a superb quality capture and then re-encode to MPEG2 via TMPGEnc.

  3. It sounds like you want to keep the movie in its original "computer" format. i.e. keep it an avi file to play back? I say that because if an hour long video does not fit on a DVD, you are obviously not encoding it (or using a huge bitrate which would make a DVD player not accept it).

    What you need is a program that will split large files into chunks. Go here..

    Pick your poision. Note, you will most likly need to have the program installed on the computer you wish to view the file on.

    The easiest way is just to encode it to mpeg2. You really do not lose much if you choose high quality settings.
