    Woohooo, so what's new :

Fixed some small issues with the IFO files. This should fix the following problems:
Trial version didn't work correctly with Sony DVD players.
Some players had problems with NTSC/PAL mix in the IFO.
Some players stutter on the point of the original layer break when 'layer break bit' is set.
Added much asked feature to choose the destination size.
Added multi-language support (thanks to everybody who made the translations!).
    Added support for CopyToDVD.
After processing the result can be directly written to DVD±R(W).
This will automatically deliver a 100% compliant DVD-Video disk, no need to worry about proper settings, directory, file and disk names.

    More info on http://www.dvd2one.com/
This is a buy and then try for suuuuure!!

Do you know what the benefit of this is?
Would I be correct in thinking it's for the people who wish to add back in the original menu's?
    Thanks,

  3. Yeah I don't really see a point for this. I mean I guess you could reserve some space so that you can Manually add the menu, but that's not much help unless the program had that feature, it does not. So it's a manual override for the size. Ok, not something I'd really use, but OK.

    Hi,

I think it will help you use the "reduced" vobs with the original menu and extra files.

    New : DvD2One v1.0.1 - beats the crap out of InstantCopy7!!

    ahhh don't think so, imho.

    WHY i hear you ask....

    1. It Still can't copy full DVD's.

    2. It's Cost twice the amount of Instant Copy.

    3. You can only buy it online using Credit Card, which is unfair to those who don't have a Credit Card.

    4. Pinnacle Instant Copy is both available online and in Certain Store's.

    5. When they do get round to adding Full DVD support, then we'll see how good the quality is.

    6. Pinnacle Instant Copy already allow's you to choose the Destination size and much more.

    7. Pinnacle Instant Copy Supports DVD-2-DVD, DVD-2-SVCD/VCD AUDIOCD-2-AUDIOCD.

Well i guess that's about it.

You can use also a debit card. Visa Electron for example.
This ain't credit and you can do any buy you wish from the Internet (only Yahoo.it won't except it!). And anyone can have it! You simply create a bank accout and you ask a Visa electron card for it.
In my country this is very easy. I don't know for other countries.

For crying out loud, i don't know, some people are never satisfied.

First they complain about Tmpegnc taking anywhere between 2 to ?? hours to convert.

Then the still complain when they use CCE and it's still too long.

Then DVD2one appears, and everybody's happy cause here's a programme that do the main movie in about 15 to 30 mins or faster depending of the specs of your PC.

Even then there still not satisfied because now they want to keep menus and stuff.

Pinnacle Instant Copy appears, does a full DVD MENU's the whole ******* DVD in the same time that it would take you watch it and there still not ******* satisfied.

Then don't ******* buy it, it's that simple. Buy the orignal DVD and forget about backing them up, make yourself a nice little box and put all your DVD's into that, then lock with a Pad Lock and chain.

Hide the key or carry with you at all time's then no kids will be able to make frisbie's with your DVD's.

  13. Instant Copy sux! This is my opinion, but seriously the software doesn't even work on my system. Too much of a headache. I'm willing to sacrifice a miniscule amount of quality with a method (dvd2one) that actually works.

Instant Copy Demo worked great on my system, first try. Don't know what you did wrong, but you can't say a product sux because you can not get it to work. I've tried both and like Instant Copy and DVD2One. I'll use both depending on whether I want the menu and extras or not.

Maybe it didn't work because your PC specs don't meet the minimum requirements.....

I think that the main feature that the author of DVD2ONE was worried about is the password protection. The other "features" are minor, compared to the ability to keep pirates from using it.

I'm not saying that's bad. Hell, that's great that he's protecting his product and it sucks thatpeople are already pirating it. I'm just saying that the new security code is the main reason for this "update".

Kind of like "Hey! I added this new feature! But you will need to BUY a copy, not use the cracked version 8) "

  17. miniscule amount of quality ?

Do you guys not see the big diff with CCE and DVDone/IC ? What do you think CCE does for 6 hours exactly ?

Yeah instant copy is good when you can select what you want to keep and select the compression size for each bit. But you can't compare a professional method with a program like DVDone.. it's crazy.

It's only a matter of time before the New Version is cracked.

It's sucks yes, Big Time, but it still happens.

The only way to get around it i see is..

    1. Make the software Freeware

    2. Don't make any new release's or don't make it at all.

I'm sorry but thats how i feel, if your gonna make these programme's and charge people for the use of it, then expect other people to crack it and release it to the general internet public.

Don't get me wrong, if you like the program then by all means buy it and support it, cause the Author's and programmers deserve it, but your always gonna have crackers looking over there shoulder.

Just a fact of internet life i'm afraid.

U CANT BEAT THE QUALITY OF THE STORE BOUGHT DVD TO CCE>>> SO WHY DONT YOU BUY THAT.... ... ISNT IT HYPOCRITCAL that people complain about the quality of a copy... face it... you just cant beat the origional copy... and those who stick by letting there computer work all day on a bootleg movie so that the quality is good is bs! BUY THE MOVIE... I SWEAR THE QUALITY IS BETTER THAN YOUR COPYING METHOD

PEOPLE RISK FINES OF THOUSANDS OF Dollars by pirating software to copy there 15 dollar movie and still complain.

PEOPLE WASTE THE LIFE OF THEIR COMPUTER AND POWER CONSUMPTION (electricity costs money) and still complian about the quality of their 15 dollar movie...

    Yall are riculous!

  20. Yeah I agree, if i had endless amounts of money i would buy the dvd's, but i don't so i want the best quality film possible to fit on a dvd-r and i know for a fact DVDone doesn't produce this.

I know CCE looses quality as with DVDone and IC but CCE looks allmost perfect compared to the later two.

I think the implication is (from dbaker6165), you could spend the time working for the money to buy 2-4 DVDs, rather than spending a couple of days trying to copy ONE.

Just my opinion, but I only burn "home-made" DVDs. I never really understood the fascination with rippping a movie, except for pirating (and even then, it's not cost effective).

    EDIT:
Also, if you don't have "endless amounts of money", then you don't get to have the DVD. Just like if you don't have the $2k, you shouldn't be in posession of CCE

  22. Instant copy is full of bugs ATM. But its a good product once they fixed it. The drawback is its very slow. 5 hours for the encoding step on my 1500mhz P4. Thats pretty damn slow (about the same has CCE for just the main movie) but the quality is also pretty good.

Now with auto-burning support, DVD2one is really positionning itself has the king of speed. I cant wait to see the DVD-9 to DVD-5 version of DVD2one.

    CCE is 2000 dollars?

    2000 dollars...

I can see why you all dont like the 40 dollar dvd2one or the 20 to 40 dollar instantcopy.

I seem to remember from another thread that you had a Pentium II. That won't cut it why? Cuz it ain't got SSE. I have a PIII 450Mhz and it works..but I wouldn't use it on that one. These are the same requirements as CCE. 800Mhz Celeron and above have SSE.

BTW, most problems seem to be related to these crappy WAREZ versions. Namely VMI RETAIL my arse...it ain't and this SCUB or something beta warez crap. Either get the demo and use it fully for 15 days or get the REAL RETAIL. Right click on the multicopy.exe and if your version isn't 0.0.91 then your screwed and don't complain.

  25. im sorry but i refuse to use anythign from Pinnacle ever again!

They are downright the worst company i have ever come across... And for anyone who's thinking of buying something from them and is not sure, i would strongly suggest you avoid them or at least fully inspect what you are buying under their name first cause chances are it wont work properly.

Instant copy isnt good, its a piece of shit like everythign else they make. They spend shitloads of cash on the graphic arts department to make it look shiny and the reality is the program or hardware itself is usually trash! you spend more time trying to make the crap work than you do actually using it!

If you do buy something from them and have a problem, dont expect any help from their tech support on the forum boards... You can expect to be asked what config your computer is (mobo, ram etc) then inevetibly you'll be told its a fault with your system, and then if you continue to try and get help and seem frustrated you will have your posts deleted. Then if you post at how pissed off you are cause someone deletes your posts you get kicked off the board alltoegther.... Hows that for customer service ??

Come on guys can't we all just get along. How I see it is if I'm going to steal a movie by copying it, I'm sure as hell not going to pay for the program that allows me to do it. I'm going to steal that too.

Let me see... people going the freeware route complain because it takes too long. Then companies* spend money paying employees ranging from software engineers to the shipping clerk, to make a program that is comparable(depending on who you ask) to the quality of freeware ripping. But yet the program is simpler and faster without having to use the multitude of freeware you need to rip dvds.

When is all this complaining gonna stop? I'm just glad that there are people/companies making software that makes this all possible. It does make for interesting conversation just thinking about all the possibilities that we have right now, and in the future. I've been glued to these forums and others talking about all the great programs there are out there and finding out the latest news about them.

Aaaah, just a little more gasoline on this fire - my opinion :

    1. If you want the best quality buy the original dvd
    2. CCE gives you the nicest 'backup-dvd' - however it's time consuming
    3. InstantCopy gives you a very decent 'backup-dvd' - still 4 hours!!
    4. DvD2One (in combi with IfoEdit) gives you a 'backup-dvd' similar to InstantCopy, but well under 1 hour!!

    So, pick one!
I'm going for DvD2One. It's a little more complex when you want to keep all the menus, but you can do 4 dvd's on an evening. The quality difference between InstantCopy and DvD2One isn't worth the extra 3 hours.
"Drawn beyond the lines of reason. Push the envelope. Watch it bend."

  29. Those that think DVD2ONE is picture quality is acceptable. Lemme guess these same people were doing VCDs 2 years ago whilst others who prefer Instant Copy video transcoding quality were doing SVCDs with CCE.
This is basically the same arguement about Half Life and RTCW...
Half Life = geforce 2 or below| 56K modem love it = majority
    RTCW = geforce4 TI4200 or above | broadband = minority

    dvd2one = cpu less than 1GHz | Haven't had lasik eye vision
instant copy = cpu fast than 1GHz | pstole their eyes from an eagle

Only question left is: Will dvd2one or instant copy be the minority?

I would throw Instant Copy out the window in a heartbeat. DVD2ONE is totally fine minus ONE thing. Picture quality. That's all they need to improve and nothing else for me. Then I'll purchase it. Other than that I don't care about menus, etc. I only prefer Instant copy for superior video quality and everything else is superfluousness.
    Quote Quote
  30. InstantCopy will encode too small or too large in relationship to the DVDR capacity, it's not that accurate.
DVD2ONE just isnt' very good quality.
CCE and TMPGenc are very good quality for a backup, and you can take advantage of the entire DVD.
