  1. I have just installed A dvb pci card with PVR function, it records in MPG2, but when I try to edit it author it or open it with anything but the PVR player it will not happen, Software tried are Tmpeg, Spruce ,Windows media etc

  2. Sounds like it is capturing in its own proprietry format than no other software will recognise. Can you change the capture settings. Have you tried playing the files in a DVD software player such as windvd or powerdvd.

    Do you have an MPEG2 codec installed? Try adding PowerDVD to your system (Cyberlink codec). If PowerDVD won't open it, yep, it's proprietary.
