  1. I am having problems playing DVDs that I have created on my DVD-711. Is anyone out there burning DVDs to play on the Philips 711? Thanks John.

You would do well to tell us what the problem is.

  3. The disks don't play. The player only opens the drawer after 30 -45 seconds.

What authoring software are you using? You have to use DVD authoring software to properly write the data in a certain order in UDF format. Again, I'm just guessing here -- to be really helped we kinda sorta need complete details on everything you've done that produced the unplayable disc.

  5. Sorry. Here is all of the info. I use Adobe Premiere 6 to import via IEEE 1394 from my Sony MiniDV camcorder. Then I export the video using (DVD compliant MPEG2) Matrox IBP (Export Only). With DVDit SE I created the DVD menus and import the video files. Then I burn the DVD with the DVDit SE software to my Pioneer DVR-A03. It then plays fine in all computer DVD drives but I can't get it to play in my standalone Philips player. I am usin Verbatim DVD-R(G 2.0) and Verbatim DVD-RW(1.1) media.
