  1. I know this is a stupid question, but I have a cool MATRIX screensaver for my PC that I really like. Is there any way I could convert it to mpeg format to make it play continously on a vcd player?

  2. I used the Matrix Screensaver as the background to a menu, at first I tried using a Screen Capture tool, but this didn't work well, what I ended up doing was using the S-Video out to a VCR tape, and then capturing that back onto my computer. It's kind of a pain in the ass but it worked and didn't take too long.

You might be able to use Camtasia http://www.techsmith.com/products/studio/default2.asp
    It's worth a try....

Yes, it can be done with Camtasia - here is a sample that I just did:
    screensaver capture sample.zip (about 1.1MB)
it's not the greatest, but if you play around with the capture settings in Camtasia, you can probably get what you need.
