I have been trying to back up a DVD onto DVD-r however when dvd decrypter is ripping the last vob file it stops 100kb from the full file. It doesnt matter the whole film is still there but the IFO file is messed up is there a way to write a new IFO file to account for the new size? I have tried IFOedit but it didnt work it just created the new files which I then burned to dvd but it wouldnt play on anything. Any ideas?![]()

Have you tried another ripper - say Smartripper, for example ?
If that doesn't work, try changing the decrypt settings for frequency of key checking, for example. There could be a quirk on the disc which is throwing the default. -
I have tried different rippers and they all fumble at the same point but i will try that thing you were talking about - can dvd decrypter be changed as you suggest?

IFOEDIT can create new ifo files from your existing vob files. It's available in the tools section of this website.

Wulf109 - the problem is psycho6149 can not complete the rip of the final VOB, so while what you say is true, I doubt that it will help him here at this stage.
I am not very familiar with DVD Decrypter (I am more of a SmartRipper man, myself), so I can only assume. I know SmartRipper can be adjusted in this manner, however. If you try using that, you can select only the problematic VOB file in FILE mode to save you some time, and tweak the settings a bit each time to see how it goes. I have seen this problem before and I THINK (it was a long time ago) I got around it by selecting the decrypt key on a cell basis instead of VOB and it worked perfectly from that point on.
Good luck !
