Fortunately for my old faithful SpruceUp program I was able to author a nice DVD of a movie that I encoded to mpeg2. I recently got DVDA and I like using it because I can create video backgrounds. Unfortunately DVDA requires a streaming mpeg2 w/ac3 audio.
I used CCE to create an mpv and did pull down to convert the the framerate to 29.76fps. I then muxed the vid and aud using bbmpeg. The muxed mpeg played fine in media player but when i authored it and impoted it to DVDA, the audio was about 0.5s before the video.
I then tried importing the mpv and ac3 to spruceup and when i played it there, aud and vid were in sync. I'm satisfied with using the sprucup authored DVD but wonder if anyone knows why DVDA played the file with the sync error. I was tempted to burn from DVDA to see if the sync. was only in the playback from DVDA but I didn't feel like wasting the time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
VC
