I really like this DVDFab, i think it is EXACTLY what I am wanting... i want to keep 100% quality and also keep menus + extras... this program lets me using 2 disks...

anyway, im brand new to this whole dvdburning thing, iv only tried 3 movies so far and dvdfab is having a few problems....

    Here is my burning method:
    DvdDecrypter- File Mode, All Files
    DVDFab- Copy entire movie
    IMGTool
    DvdDecrypter

take about an hour and a half total time

1st movie- The Recruit, everything worked PERFECT

2nd movie- Top Gun, disk 1 was perfect, disk 2 had subtitles on it (how do I make it NOT do that)

3rd movie- installed newest version (yesterday) and it got thru the entire stripping/ripping part, then as soon as it got to the menus the program crashed and windows gave me that message to send an error report... i retried it 3 times and same thing at exact same point... then unistalled and installed the old version again, and same thing happened....

  3. you need to uninstall and use the registry editor (STARTMENU>RUN>regedit) you remove the registry entries for dvdfab under the hykey current users and one other one I forget. Just search for the software tab, you should see an entry for dvdfab along with entries for ,most of your software (companies). This is the way I usually correct errors that wont go away with a reinstall.

Try this and PM me if you need more help.

  4. Matrix NTSC R1 with 0.16.0 makes it to 99.9% of splitting but crashes just as it is about the 'copying menus and extras' part. Before it would crash on disc1 so at least it's making it further.
dude ....I didn't report this cuz I thought you were banned from using a computer during your vacation. Which is it?

  5. OK, I have found a couple of bugs in 0.16.0.
(I really need a stable version ... I need some time to make a little home improvment .. )

However; New version will be there today (07/11/03) !

Thank you all for testing and reporting bugs !

  6. Trying to convert a 8.5g dvd to dvd-r. I ripped a dvd9 using DVD Decrypter, went without any glich, and tried to split it with DVDFab. (Latest version) While "Processing Files" (after "stripping/splitting") at the end (about 97 or 98%) of "correcting navigation packets" my WinXP gave me warning asked me to debug or report it to Microsoft and DVDFab went dead. Tried several times but no luck.

    My questions are:
1.Is it a prboblem with DVDFab or the IFO file?
2.Is it because I'm using unregistered DVDFab?
    3.I'm doing anything wrong?
4.Is it because I was different graphics for 'insert disk 2'?
5.Do I need to unselct audio and subpicture stripping?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

  10. DVDToolBox,

Just tried to do a complete DVD back up of 'The Matrix" NTSC with version 0.16.1. Now instead of crashing, at the point where it starts to copy the menus etc, the following error message is displayed:

    An error occured:
    An sector was not found(00002001)

    Any thoughts?

    Keep up the good work.

    PS.
Ripped with DVDDecrypter full file mode
Selected "copy complete DVD" in DVDFab

  11. @gizmofanv

PowerDVD has problems with non remaped audio streams.
This should not happen with WinDVD or SA.

    @Trust_No_1

    I'm getting Matrix RC1 next week ... Then I'll test it !

  12. @DVDToolbox

I tried splitting the movie again unselecting spanish audio and subpicture streams and played very well ( in english) with power DVD.

    Any one:
Could you please tell what are the names of the steps involved in DVDFab stripping/splitting since mine is crashing at step2 of "Processing Files".
