s/vcd to dvd-iso

Instead of going thru the long process of converting vcd/svcd to vob files that some players, aka my ad1500 and ad703 apex dvd players that supports dvd-iso,could i just burn a dvd-iso file and it would read the s/vcd and play, well after making 2 coasters with nero but play on my pc, all that happens when inserting dvd in my apex is it trys to read the dvd then Stop comes up and thats it, anyone make a succesful dvd-iso that plays? do i need to make folders with the movies then burn that folder?

Well BTO here says his Daewoo will play a dvd-iso, in the players list here it shows over 300 that will and that includes my Apex 1500....well it dont, has anyone just burned a few vcd/svcd as a dvd iso and played them on your dvd player?

I've burned several dvd with mpg files(even dat files from vcd,xvcd... renamed with mpg extension without doing anything else) on it and it worked on my stand alone dvd player it's a lifetec 7560(the same as medion 7560). the only problem is that there is not chapters.

Well i bought a mintek and it plays unauthored dvd......goodbye apex!!!
