I have an .avi file that, when played, is jerky every few frames. I thought it might be a problem with bad frames and used vdub-mp3-freeze to get rid of them (there were a few in one block but didn't correct the problem once removed).
I get the feeling that it could be a codec problem. The file's properties is as follows:
GSpot tells me that I have three codecs installed that are capable of playing the file. They are:
DivX MPEG-4 Low-Motion
DivX MPEG-4 DVD Video Decompressor
3ivx D4 Video Decoder
The audio codec installed and used to play the file is AC3.
Any suggestions as to which codec to install or uninstall in order to get the file to play smoothly?
Thank you very much for your suggestions.
