i was looking through a box a few days ago and found an old PCI card from an old computer that allowed us to watch cable on the computer, can i use that to capture?

If it has a TV in then more then likely the answer is yes, but you never know until you try (and find drivers for it).

i found the driver disk, i'll try it out sumtime tonight and let you know how it goes, cause if it works that would be great.

well the big medal thing that i houses the tv tuner says phillips but the chip on it say Bt, which i believe is Brooktree, but none of this matters because i can't capute with it anyway, not with anything. oh well, guess i have to go buy one now.

if you dont mind, what are the number on the Tuner ( if any ) and on the BT chip?
If there is a FCC number, you can trace it at the FCC gov site.

PS: Depending on the age you may need current drivers. Also if you are running Direct X 8 make sure it 8a and you have the patch for TV/Capture cards.
