  1. Hey Major or anyone else,

How do I use ffmpegX 0.0.7a to convert from a DivX avi to SVCD burning in subtitles from a .srt/.sub/.ssa file. The ffmpegX website really only talks about how to do this with ripped DVD files. The ones I got are off the internet and newsgroups. I have tried with earlier versions of ffmpegX but have always been unsuccessful were the subtitles don't show up.

Also I have an SVCD that I want to add subtitles too. Is it possible to do a SVCD-->SVCD with burned subtitles from an .srt/.ssa file. If you don't have an .ifx file is it possible to change subtitle colors and charachteristics

    Thanks for your assistance

  2. I'll soon add Divx > SVCD guides in the online manual. In short, you should select the SVCD quick preset, then set "Decode with mplayer". Load your subtitle in the filters tab. Hit encode and use "preview" to check if the output is good. Use an .IFO file from any DVD to set palette colors. And yes you can also use an SVCD as input with the same process.
