    Hi all...

I tried removing the extras with InstantCopy but that gave me a non-compliant dvd and it didn't work as it should, so I used ífoedit instead.

After running ifoedit and ifoupdate to strip the extras on a DVD and then trying to let InstantCopy process the DVD, IC gives me an error: "List index out of bounds (-1)"
I had to use dvd2one instead of instantcopy to get the DVD to DVDR size and that worked just fine.
But I rather use InstantCopy because I believe the quality is better.

Anyone know why InstantCopy dumps that error?

    PS.
    I followed this guide: http://www.deano.dsl.pipex.com/backup/ifoedit7.htm
    DS.

  4. I fallow this guide for one more than one month and i have the same problem since the new 7.1.1 update.. everytime I remove an extra, it give me this error to..

How to remove an extra that is more than 1gig (multiple vobs ?) IFOedit make only 1 vob, and if you delete the other vob, i get this error in IC7 and DVD2one crash too

if I open DVDShrink, I select reencode, and he give me the orriginal size and not the new one (look like it don'T update total size)

Sorry for a bit off topic, but didn't want to start a new thread again

you shouldn't get any errors if you do it correctly

how many VOB ID's and PGC's are there in the Titleset?

and are you removing them all?

which guides and methods have you used?

don't worry it can be done believe me

I done it with your tutorial.. but since there was a lot of title set (over 20 if I remeber) I tryed to remove them all exept the 1sec black flash.. didn't work (IC7 crash) So I try to replace it with the dummy vob file, again, same problem..

It always work with small extra (trailler etc) but in this case (making of of 55 minutes with 3 vobs) IC7 crash and DVD2one also..

I do this only to have movie only + menu

Ain't the Modify Movie/Extras VOB with 1 VOB ID guide what you really need then?
    It should work...

I could be wrong tho' as I'm pretty new to dvd ripping.

i'm somewhat new too.. and yes I did this tutorial and still have the same problem.

BUT I had the same problem with a single ID removable (that worked great before !!) it look like IC 7.1.1 is the problem ! I uninstalled it and get bac the IC 7.0 and it did open the project and I am encoding it right now... so the patch isn't that good after all.. it won't encode if you remove anythin with ifoedit..

I'll try to get rid of that error message myself now using MackemX guides, I hope it'll work better this time.

Btw, which DVD9->DVDR program gives best quality? Is InstantCopy still the king?
I'm sure it's been brought up before but if anyone is willing to answer please do, new programs always pop up!
