  1. when converting a .d2v file to avi with virtualdub I get an error message as soon as the file reaches the size of 3.98 gigs. Anyone know why?

  2. Fat32 has 4gb file size limit. NTFS doesn't have this limit. In theory there is also a 2GB AVI file size limit, but most newer programs don't care.

You need to setup VDub to use/make spill over drives/file. This will create multiple AVIs of whatever size you enter.

Q: What are you trying to do? I assume you have DVD ripped source, and want to convert it to a DivX file (other wise the size would be huge)?

  3. if you can't get around this problem, i'd recommend frameserving. vdub has a fairly good frameserver.
