  1. Right im try to put SVCD onto a dvd, basicly because my player doesn't support SVCD's. I have tried the header trick, but i have a pionner standalone player and the picture is 1/2, 2/3 of the screen. Plus every 2 seconds it pauses and don't continue.

    so..
I thought convert the SVCD to a proper DVD mpeg using tmpeg, and the problems will go away, oh no. The picture is full screen now yay, but still is freezing every 2 seconds. The video type i am working with is PAL.

what can i do to fix this, if there is a fix? I have burned the files onto a DVD-RW and DVD-R still same problem for both media.

    Used DVD2AVI to frameserve
    Used Tmpeg to encode
    and DVD maestro to author
    Record now max to burn

Standalone player is a Pioneer DV-515
But now its getting annoying please help.

    Thanks.

BTW i dont know if this post should go in this Topic, but i noticed there is no (S)VCD to DVD convertion forum topic. Maybe start one

  5. Maybe this can help chrissy

    --- File details:
Skipped -2 zeroes at start of file
mpgtx: AT EOF - please stop me!
mmm, this file does not start with a pack, offset: -2
use the desperate_mode switch as the first option -X to search for a header in the whole file!
if you want to force the operation. May yield to an endless loop if no valid header is found!
Does not even begin with a 00 00 01 xx sequence!
\CD1.mpg is not a valid mpeg file
