    Hi,
    I bought two new 15 pack of Verbatim dvd-r from Bestbuy.
    I used to burn dvd at 2X speed by using Verbatim Datalife (BarCode:2394294490), but this time, it shows only 1X speed at the toast.
    Is that meaning something is wrong? (like wrongly updated firmware).
    I checked firmware and it is latest one.
    By the way, how can I check blank dvd-r media speed in mac?
    Please help me. I'm wasting my time....

    The CMC-made media appear to be 1x. The Mitsu-made discs are probably what you had before. Yeah I was disappointed too. Oh well, $1 per disc from a store isn't too bad.
