  1. When i start a conversion it does something, but when its finished it just shuts down. No message, nothing dont to the DVD. It worked before.

It asked to do some setting to the Drive...it didnt tell what it had to change, but now i can't change it back. How do i know what it did....i think if i can change it back. it will work.

  2. That's how Pinnacle product behave. Working one day, then quit the next day, just like magic.
I used to author DVD and burn with PS8 (another Pinnacle product) and now it won't burn DVD correctly, but turned my blank DVD-R into a coaster every time. So I stop using PS8 to burn DVD.

  4. I don's know, my PS8 refuses to burn DVD after authoring the content. It made coasters instead. I cannot fix this, Pinnacle Web forum also got lot of complaints about this issue and Pinnacle support chose to ignore their users (they do not even acknowledge there is a problem and promise to work on it).
What I do is use Nero to burn the VIDEO_TS folder (just like all other Pinnacle users that have this problem).
If your software creates a VIDEO_TS folder, then use Nero to burn it to DVD.

I too use instant copy to back up the kids DVDs before they destroy them.
Make sure you have some tools installed that change the registry settings giving you greater options.
    Try the website below

    http://www.mrbass.org/instantcopy/

There is also a good tutorial at

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/141024.php#dvd9instantcopy

that gives information about this app.
