    i posted previously about this video i DL where the vision was frozen and would not play but the sound was OK. the people i DL from say they have no problems with it so there must be some kind of codec problem perhaps?

    this video is made with the DivX MPG4v3 codec. do i need to have this specific codec installed, i have other DivX 5 and 4 codecs installed?

    Videos can become corrupted during download, have you tried scanning the video stream forr errors with vdub. Does the video not play at all or does it play for a while then freeze. Could be that you need the divx 3 codec.

    D/load the video again. Run it through gspot, confrim that you have the correct codecs needed to play the video. Check the video for bad frames in VDub.

    If you still can't play it let us know.
