I have captured vhs and burned a dvd. I have also used dvd shrink to copy the vob files and backup a movie so it will be a playable dvd (no menues, but i have movie)

What If I wanted to capture just a certain clip of a dvd movie for a presentation or something to where I just want a small section to go into my slide show. I dont want the entire movie. Where can I go. Or should I be asking..is there a way to go from vob to mpeg or to avi?
