    i have a sony dru500 and copy to dvd, nero, and vob instand cd/dvd will not reconize my burner what can do should i download some kind of up dates and where can i get it

    Anyway: What BobW said in reply to one of the others ( i think this would be the best spot , but who am I ).

    Is the burner recognised by your pc?
    Can you burn a CD with it? Or play a CD / DVD on it?
    Has it worked before?

    With 2000 and XP you shouldn´t need drivers.
