  1. Some body pleeeze help me. I've been trying to split "The Blue PLanet" UK version to 2 disc for ages now and I can't seem to be able to do it. I wanted to use DVD x Copy, but I can't get it to work. The original disc has 6 PGC's. 1 for each of the 4 episodes eg PGC 1-4, then it has PGC 5 which doesn't seem to be anything or any size or length and then theres PGC 6 which is all 4 of the episodes in one PGC I can only assume for the "Play All" option on the menu. When I load the ripped files into DVD X Copy I select it to split at chapter 13 which is the start of episode 3 (ie 2 episodes and a menu on each disc) but when it's completed it's thing it says that Disc 1 is only 1.80GB in size and Disk 2 is 5 GB odd. It's the same in DVD toolbox aswell. Interestingly enough though, the second of the original discs is the same format of PGC's as the first but that copys fine in DVD X Copy!. Any light on this bloody frustrating arse of a job would be greatly appreciated. I've tried to split it in IFOEdit aswell and the same thing happens. I'd like to keep the menu if possible. I've got most of the programs available I just need pointing in the right direction
    Thanx.

I do episodes with Tmpgenc dvd author. You can turn each episode into an .mpg file and reauthor with same program with your own menus.

i use ifoedit(u would have to lose the menus though) to split episode disc to 2 discs. epidsode disc are already compressed so i don't want to compress them any more

u rip the movie in file mode with smartripper, figure out how many of the vob files will fit on one 4.7 disc and put them in one folder, then put the other vobs in another folder. use ifo edit to create ifos for first folder, then rename the vob files in the other folder (example vts_01_5,vts_01_6,vts_01_7 rename vts_01_1,vts_01_2,vts_01_3 ) next create ifos for the second folder and burn with your favorite program
