  1. It seems that Moviefactory 2.0 slightly distorts my resolution/aspect ratio that was created with TMPGENC. With TMPGENc I do use FUll Screen Keep Aspect Ratio. THen it seems that Ulead slightly stretches the scene. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Encode with Center (Keep Aspect Ratio) instead of Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio) in TMPEnc and it should size and look perfect on your TV screen instead of stretching to a bit wider then the TV actully is. That always happened to me when I pick Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio) and everyone ended up wider then they should be.

That's funny because I read that the best method was to use KEEP ASPECT RATIO 2

Gotta love how everyone agrees to the same standards and format when it comes to DVD/SVCD/VCD standards hehehe

I haven't tried Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio 2). I didn't really understand what it did from the TMPGEnc description. Center (Keep Aspect Ratio) makes a block border around the left and right sides when viewed on a PC but when I play the the DVD on my TV, it fits on the screen perfectly. Not sure what's going on.

Anyone understand the difference between Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio) and Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio 2)?

I've done more research regarding my previous comments and found out that it is TV overscan that was causing me to loose a bit of the sides of the movie. Center (Keep Aspect Ratio) seems to eliminate the loss of visible picture by framing the mpg to the right size to completely fit on my TV.

    Thanks,

    Howard
