  1. I had a 700 mb avi, and I converted it to mpeg 2 using tmpeg, and then demuxed it into m2v and mp2 files. I then used ifoedit to convert them to vob files. I used nero to burn the files to dvd, but it wont play. Is there any way to set up a menu using nero?

It can also be ifoedit. Ifoedit authored ntsc dvds wont work on my pioneer dvd player for example.

But you can try this first

Or try another dvd burning tool.

  3. Nothing happens when I put the disc in. It lets me press play, but then it is just a black screen. There is no disc error. Also, I was wondering If there is any way to create menus using Nero?

  5. No. I guess ifoedit created those files when i made the m2v and mp2 files because they were there and I put them on my project in nero.

yes burn them as dvd video with nero.

u can download a trial version of gear pro 6. and import your dvd video and if it's not 100 percent compliant, gear won't let u burn it

p.s. not all dvd are 100 percent dvd compiant, even store brought ones, but some of them will still play in dvd players

  11. It could also be to do with Nero, it does have some problems with some standalone DVD players. Try the Nero website
    www.nero.com

There you can download the latest version for free which is more compatible with DVD players. I had a similar problem with Nero and my Cyberhome ADL 528 but I got the latest version of Nero and now the DVD’s play fine.

  12. I used ifoedit and clicked get vts sectors, and now when i try to burn the dvd it says there is not enough space on the disc. But the file is only showing about 3.5 gigs, and the disc holds 4.7
