  1. I have a 900MB movie (.mpg) that, obviously, won't fit on one CD-R. I used TMPGEnc to split the first 450 MB from it, but when I play this new .mpg in WMP or Nostra, there's no audio... but I watched TMP generate the audio (that took a while), and the file is big enough so that it should have sound. I followed the ''How To'' edit thing on this site.

Any ideas as to what's wrong? I really need to get this off and clear some harddrive space.

Does the mpeg file have an ac3 soundtrack by any chance ?

If so, my guess is the header for the ac3 is getting lost somehow, its just a guess though.

If that is the problem checkout the guides at www.doom9.org or over to the left <------------- on splitting ac3 using tools other than tmpgenc as sometimes it seems to mess up ac3 files.

If its not an ac3 soundtrack though, im puzzled too

    Cheers
