  1. I created a dvd which plays perfectly in computer but breaks up when I play it in my Pioneer DV333 or Norcent DP300...the video starts to stutter and changes resolution from full screen to 1/2 screen and 1/4 screen on my Pioneer. On my Norcent, the video will freeze, pausing for a few seconds and then continue playing.

My burner is a Pioneer A05...

I reburned the files to a DVD-RW and it now plays fine in my DVD players...

I originally burnt the DVD to a Memorex DVD-R. It was authored with DVDiT PE 2.5.4 and burnt with Nero as a DVDVideo disk.

When I burnt to the DVD-RW I burnt directly from DVDiT...

I've created a few DVD-Rs before with DVDiT PE 2.5 and Nero on Memorex DVD-Rs and never had a problem...BUT I did upgrade my DVDiT PE from 2.5 to 2.5.4....

So I'm wondering if it's bad media or the DVDiT PE upgrade....

    Thoughts ???

  2. I reburnt the mpeg files to another Memorex DVD-R HOWEVER I did remove one mpeg file as I noticed that my DVD-R was pretty close to capacity. This DVD-R played fine...no problems. Then I realized none of my other DVD-Rs that I had burned were close to capacity. Most of them were below 4.0 gbs.

The DVD-Rs I'm using are a three pack of Memorex I purchased at Wal-Mart for $9.99. DVDInfo identifies them as PRODISC. Is there a problem with some (or all) DVD-Rs when you fill them to near capacity ?

What is the opinion of Memorex or PRODISC DVD-Rs ?

    Cheers
