Hi Everyone
Yesterday on September 21 I was at work and around 11:30Pm WashDC time I went out to get some lunch for me and one of the guys at my work. The restrautnt that I went to is a Delhi, very good subs and sandwhichs. Keep in mind that this is a very busy place, with shopping centers, Big K, and others, lot of family types around. When I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed three parking spaces...the one on the left occupied by a Toyota Camry "gold color" and a BMW "silver green color" in between them a empty parking space. Beside the door of the Camry was a Brown Luggage case sitting by the passenger side door...beside the BMW was a black Luggage case by the driver side door. Knowing that the Delhi is owned by people of middle eastern ethinticity, I felt this very suspicious. This in light of recent events that have happenend in the area. About that time a plain clothes policeman from Fairfax County pulled up and parked...he was heading in to one of the restraunts to eat. I brought to his attention the suspicious nature of the luggage and he said " You will have to call the city police..I work for the County? Amazed by this reply, I shook my head and pulled my cell phone out and called 911. I told the operator on the other end what was going on and she said a car would be dispatched. About 10 minutes later a squad car from Fairfax city shows up and the whole time that I am telling him what is going on...he does not even look at me...then when I am finished he said "I will take a look at it". So he pulls up in front of the two cars..gets out...looks underneath the cars and proceeds to grab the brown suitcase and toss it ontop of his squad car and open it. The whole time I am thinking this is crazy...where are the sniffers...the dogs, not the bomb squad but at least some concern for something strange. He unzips the luggage and when no explosion I went to the back of the squad car. We rummaged inside and nothing much just a xxxVideo and a Beeper/Pager with some sort of display and antennea. He started pushing buttons on the loveing thing before checking out the other luggage beside the BMW. I told him, I would not do that until the other bag is open. "Reply...Oh yea!!" Well he went and picked up the black luggage case that was beside the BMW and it was empty. Now after all this..he asked me if I wanted the XXXTape and I said no...(Should have said yes)....hahaha..but afterwards..I though about all of this. The Officer took no precautions...he did not call for sniffers for explosives...he was careless...endangering many people/women/men/children around him this was a plaza for shopping. Later I filed a complaint to the main office and his supervisor. This is the kind of shit that gets people killed. In this day and age I feel you cannot take anything for granted. Those suitcases could have easily had somthing in them then as not. This I believe is why America always suffers consequences such as what happend on September 11 2001. I think we should all take a vigilance...it is up to the individual though. There is no discrimination between anyone when it comes to radical beliefs such as those sponsored by you know who. It was not only Americans killed by what happened at the WTC, it was people from alot of other ethenticities. I would like to know from others what your feelings are on this post, what would you have done. Yes, I am an American and a patriot. But I feel we have to bring these kind of things to the attention of those who control the streets and the air. I can only imagine the sorrow and pain that would have followed, activated and made possible by our protectors of our socitey yesterday in my own backyard..by lack of vigilance and good judgement.

You are over-doing this I think....F-U-ckk Me I saw a brown (Manila) envelope sat on the pavement the other day...hey there might have been a razor blade in there that someone could have cut there finger on... where is it you live ? Big important place ? No ? Maybe your pretty safe eh ???

Do you honestly think it unreasonable to find it odd about the suitcases out in the open like that, especially after what just happened to the Pentagon, 10 minutes from my work. You seem to be a minimalist at any rate, there is a huge difference between a envelope and two large suitcases. And most likely now that high profile attacks have been comitted, next targets would surely be common everyday, high traffic places that cannot all be covered by the law. And maybe where I live right now is not safe...that is apparent. Just so you know though, I have lived in dangerous enviroments overseas at least 6 years total and have been in two different war(s) since 1990 in the Middle East and West Africa. I'm sure the nearly 7000 people who died thought they were safe and going home later on in the day before terror struck. I am willing to assume that your minimalist attitude is due to your living in a nice quiet place and never being exposed to armed conflicts. Right?

I would be very suspicious. I don't see any reason why anyone would leave a suitcase in a public place like that unless it's a bomb.

Better say something before this post gets locked...

Now that is what I call artistic. Too bad we can't bury him under all the rubble from the trade center. But then again who said he should even have a burial. At any rate what would anyone give or say as a Eulogy? Any ideas?
