    can any one help me with the firmware update on pioneers site i have downloaded it to make it from a 2 speed to a 4 speed burner but when i put 4 speed disc in it will only still burn at 2 speed ????

    If you are talking about the Pioneer A04 then the update does NOT turn it into a 4x burner, it makes it so that 1) 4x disk do not burn up your drive, and 2) you can burn the 4x disk at 2x. But it does not allow you to burn at 4x. You would need a new laser for that.

    FYI the post is in the wrong forum. This one is for set top DVD players.
