I have tried everything but I still get jumpy video..when cars go down the street it looks like it keeps skipping a frame and jumps instead of flows.
how can I fix this???
I use TMPEGNC and I have tried changing from even field first to odd field 1st...didnt work
I tried deinterlacing with blend fields that someone suggested to me....didnt work
is there anything else I can do??? i use the highest quality and the video is really good....
thanks for any help!

What's the source? Does this happen on your stand alone or on the PC (if only on the TV then could be you have the wrong framerate)? What setting do you use for motion search during the encode?

Scott,
I found that I had this problem as well -- drove me crazy until I realized that when running DVD2AVI, I had selected "Forced Film" for a 29.97 fps source instead of auto detecting the frame rate. This really made things ugly during high-motion scenes after encoding with TMPGEnc, with both VCD and SVCD.
Hope this helps!
