I'm not new to videoediting and stuff but recently I had some problems when I changed my graphic card with playback of movies. I have gotten wrong colors and picture not showing on the TV and other things. I think it has something to do with the Overlay thing in Windows but I honestly have no idea of what that is and how Graphic Cards work so would someone please explain what the Overlay thign is???

    Thank you
    Thanx/

Hard to give quick explanation. Overlay is the video layer where video playback normally resides. DVD playback, capture playback, tv tuners, etc. Your drivers are either not installed correctly, corrupted, or the new card doesn't support overlay properly as needed for whatever you're trying to do when it gives the error.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

okay... well.. I have solved my issues by changing my Color Depth from highcolor 16 bit to Truecolor 32 and then uncheckign some things in the ffdshow filter.. but I would still like to know how it all works more technically!
    Thanx/
