Hi
I'm having problems moving folders out of an additional hard drive(slave) I added. When I try to move a large folder(3GB) to my desktop or my other hardrive(master) I am told the process will take 4 minutes. If I take the same folder if it is in my master hard drive and move it instantly to the desktop or any other folder without any wait.
What is the reason for this?
I am running XP home and NTSF hard drive format.

Moving folders/data between harddrives or partitions will take time because the data will actually be moved, but if you move the data on the same partition the filesystem will only change some "file pointers" and not move the data and that does'nt take any time at all.
