  1. I have a file which I am trying to backup on to a cd in the form of a bin file, which I intend to burn into SVCD using NERO. I have read related topics and have tried opening a project>burn image>check raw data>and burnt the image. However, when attempting to view the file on a stanalone SVCD player a message box opens with a "smart nav 1" box. Is there a method using nero or how can I produce a cue file? Is it simple -for a noob?
    Cheers

You could always extract the mpeg with VCDGear from the bin, and reauthor to SVCD with VCDEasy...

You can use CDMage to generate a new cue file. Do a forum search on it to find out exactly how.

I don't recommend using Nero for burning bin and cue files at all, much less just burning a bin without a cue. The resulting disk won't play on alot of hardware players. You are much better off getting CDRWin or if you need a wonderful free alternative try CDRao.

  4. open notepad and copy these 3 lines

    FILE "MY CD.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

where "MY CD.bin" is writen (the first line) - just change the name to the
name of the bin file that you have.

    save the file as "whateveryouwant.cue"
put it in the same folder where your bin file is.

it works for me with data cd's so i think it will work the same
    in your case.

Well if its a SVCD its going to be mode 2, but sometimes disk images are more complex than that. Its best to just generate a new .cue.
