i am looking for a usb dvd burner. i checked compusa's site but found only usb2.0.....my laptop is not 2.0...do they make non 2.0 drives? and what is the difference between 1.0 and 2.0 for a dvd burner if they only require 2.0?............thanks.........

get a usb2.0 card for ur laptop.
usb1 is not fast enough for burning purposes. -
The USB 2.0 specification extends the maximum speed of the connection from 12 Mbps on USB 1.1 up to 480 Mbps (60MBytes/sec).
