I was doing fine for awhile capturing from my Sony HI-8 using an eVGA Geforce4 TI4200 card w/VIVO and MyDVD 4.0 but out of the blue I now get the "Cannot connect to the selected video device" when I hit the capture button although I can see the video fine in the preview screen. I have tried reinstalling the WDM drivers but still no luck. Anyone have any ideas as to what could have happened?

Just for the record I fixed the problem by reinstalling:
Nvidia drivers (latest on the eVGA website)
WDM 1.08 drivers (NO WHITE BOX!!!)
DirectX 9
and then MyDVD over again
I tried a few times to install some of these but until I reinstalled everything in that order no luck.

Its sad to think that Sonic support is so weak. I got a response from them only to be told that MyDVD doesn't support a Nvidia VIVO card. Oh well I guess what I read about their lack of skills are true.
