I've just bought myself a SONY DCR-TRV120E and transfered some of my home videos to my PC.i've also converted them so they are DVD compatible. I want to know how to apply little logos (like on TV channels) to the picture....but only for 20 seconds or so. I'm then going to use them with Sonic ReelDVD.

Can someone point me in the right direction please?

If the video is still in AVI, you can use Virtual Dub with the Logo filter to add a logo to your video. Then frameserve to convert to DVD.

If the is already in MPEG-2, make sure you have the MPEG-2 mod for Virtual Dub. Or you may want to try Video Studio 6's Overlay function to add your logo to it.

  3. If you have a program that lets you do chorma-key in your video. It is very easy to do. Just create your JPG or BMP logo on a white, black, blue, green or red background. In a draw program.

Then import and resize your logo on top of your video. Lastly mask out or chorma-key the background color of your logo.
