hello,
i'm going to be building a new pc and i had a question regarding video cards. i would like to hook up my cable to the pc and use it to watch tv so i can put my tv in the living room, but i dont know what to get. should i spend the money for a graphics card that has a video input for cable on it, or would it be dumb or cause problems to have a grpahics card for..well games etc, and buy a seperate video card for the cable input? i do plan on useing it for a vcr also and that other fun video converting stuff. so i dont know if spending the money for a graphics card that does it all is worth it or buying a seperate card for the cable is the way to go.
thanks for any advice.

its realy up to you.
i personaly dont like "combo" hardware, but there is nothing wrong in getting it as long as it gets the job done.
infact, there are pretty darn good combos out there, and they make a fine buy if money is a problem.HELL AINT A BAD PLACE TO BE -
It seems to me that you are asking if you should by an ATI All-in Wonder card or not. Have you read the reviews in the Capture Card section? TV/Capture cards are relatively cheap and if you ever want to upgrade (either the capture card or the video card) it will be cheaper and easier if you have them separate. Your choice, but I'd choose separate.
