  1. Hi,

I want to edit HDTV (1920x1080i) video with Premiere 6.0. WIth a software HDTV2MPEG, HDTV ts file is converted to MPEG2 file which I import to the timeline of Premiere. I can cut and join several mpeg2 files. But when it comes to export the timeline, I don't know how to do.

In fact, I want to export the edited MPEG2 file with original resultion and quality, i.e 1920x1080i with bitrate about 20mb/s. And then I will convert this MPEG2 file to ts file and then write it back to D-VHS.

    Can you help?

    Fred

You should use an mpeg editor to edit mpegs if your only wanting to do simple cuts and splices.

If you want to encode the HDTV ts, you can use a new version of DVD2AVI that's designed to handle transport streams. It'll export a d2v file that's compatible with avisynth's mpeg2dec3.dll, but not VFAPI, so it won't import into TMPG.

Womble's MPGVCR can handle transport streams with ac3 audio.

If your ts has ac3 audio, you can demux it, then also use Media Ware Solutions' M2Edit pro. M2Edit handle transport strems, but not ac3, or LPCM audio.
