Heres a strange one! I posted previously (with no replies!) about a problem with previews in spruceup & other similar progs. After some more experimenting I've found some odd readings. I ripped some parts of dvd's using SmartRipper here's some of the strangeness!
SIGNS-REGION 2, listed in SmartRipper as NTSC
SCOOBY DOO-REGION 2, listed as PAL.
I'm in the UK, both are PAL & they both are listed as mpeg1/vcd(notmpeg2/dvd) in AVIcodec & gspot????
Whats wrong here & is this the answer to my previous post (maybe illegal format causing 'spruceup' to lock up)
BOTH these dvd's were written on my previous PC using PrimoDVD after being ripped by smartripper. If I remember right 'signs' went through dvd2one to fit the disk & scoooby-doo just went through Spruceup to add a menu & chapters. Maybe something went wrong at that stage?? Any ideas anyone?
