Hey!
I just thought that programs such as DVD2One, DVDShrink et al all downsize movies to fit onto a 4.7GB disk with a relatively minor decrease in video quality. However, by that reasoning if writeable DVD-9 disks were/ARE available, with a basic menu system added, you could comfortably put 2 FULL movie backups onto a SINGLE DVD-R and that would be REALLY handy.
I'm sure this might have been asked before but I was just wondering if anyone knows whether writeable DVD-9 disk are available or due to come out and what (if any) writers available will support it.
Thx
boodoo

In short, dual layer DVD-R's are not going to arrive any time soon, although the "flipper" does seem to be making a comeback in the DVD-R world.
