  1. Hi

This is my second attemp at using DVD2DVDR. First was with Gladiator PAL and had no probs at all. Yesterday I tried Road to Perdition and go the error "Vinf_open() failed: Bad data<c:\New Folder\Road_to_Perdition\video_0xE0_New.VAF>"
This happens just after it has ripped, checked audio and run through DVD2AVI.
Now trying spiderman to see if it does the same thing.
    I'm using latest DVD2DVDR and CCE 2.5

    Any idears would be gratefull.

It sounds like CCE is having trouble reading the file it created on the first pass. You might want to delete it then scandisk/defrag and start again.

  3. would it be that though as the error comes up before CCE actualy starts running. The soiderman I'm running is nearly up to that point so Ill post my result to see if its just that movie.

  4. Spiderman was no probs at all. Went straight into CCE and started encoding.
Anybody know why one particular movie might do this and maybe a way round it.

    Cheers

I've seen a few movies that would had something in the video that would freak CCE out quite badly over and over. I'd suggest manually ripping the video and encoding it with the robshot method (guide in the guides section at doom9.org. See if it gives the error that way.

If its a .vaf error the it almost has to be CCE related.
