What percentage of standalone DVD players are miniDVD's compatible with?
Does the type of CDR media you use influence whether or not it plays in a DVD?
I'll be getting a DVD burner with my new system, which is several months away, but for now I really want to author a movie I made on DVD because of it's menu capabilities.
Also, i've read that some form of MPEG 1 is part of the DVD spec. Does the MPEG 1 video include AC3 audio, and will standalone players even play MPEG1 video authored on a DVD?

Not many, at least not if you use DVD res/bitrates.What percentage of standalone DVD players are miniDVD's compatible with?
Depends on player. May, may not.Does the type of CDR media you use influence whether or not it plays in a DVD?
DVDDemystified says nothing on any connection between video encoding and audio encoding. Without further knowledge than this, I'd say Yes!Does the MPEG 1 video include AC3 audio
As it's inside the DVD specs (if done correctly), at least they ought to!will standalone players even play MPEG1 video authored on a DVD

< < < Look in the DVD Players Section
If it is listed as playing miniDVD (there is a way to list them) then good chance it will. If you want wide compatibility for distribution to others forget it, just burn real DVDs.Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'
