  1. I had a talk with canon about a s-vhs input on a digital camera. I want to hook my normal vhs videoplayer on the svhs input. They told me that if you connect a composite (rca) signal (the yellow, red, white connector) to a s-vhs input you will probable get very bad quality black and white screen.

I thought you could just do this with an adaptercable? (composite to s-vhs)

    Anybody?

  2. Hi,

    You probably can !

I never had any problems the other way around. Meaning SVHS output to RCA. So it should be possible to do it the other way around.

The black and white problem is moslty not supported formats. Like sending a NTSC signal into a PAL only TV/Recorder/whatever...

    hope this helps.

  3. They are kind of right you will get problems with adapters but this is mainly the quality of the cable and the adpters you use.
    Just get something decent.
A friend of mie has a composite out of his graphics card going ito the S vhs socket on his tv the picture is not very clear with inteference mainly due to the quality of cable
