  1. I normally cut MPEGs (muxed) with TMPGenc. I'm trying to back up a DVD I own, and have a CCE encoded m2v file + ac3 file. But I did the bit rate wrong and need to shrink the m2v by 10-15MB.

I want to cut out the closing credits, I tried cutting w/ TMPGenc. But DVD Maestro can't read the edited file. What program (and/or setting) do you suggest for cutting just m2v video files? Thanks in advance.

  2. You might try Mpeg-VCR.

  3. Thanks I'll give it a try tonight. I just don't want to have to re-encode the entire project to cut the size by 10-15MB

I guess worst case I can convert the ac3 audio to mp2, mux to get a MPEG2 file, cut with TMPGenc, demux then use the orginal ac3 file as audio source.
