I have PowerVCR II 3.0 Standard, which came bundled with my Iomagic PC PVR capture card. Whenever I try to capture, and on whatever "profile" settings, the only player that gives me synchronized sound & video is RealPlayer. I have tried the following players, and all are out of sync - not just at the end, but all the way through:
Windows Media Player 6.4
DivX Player 2.1
WinAmp 3
Elecard mpg2 player
When I download video files from other sources, they are fine on all of the above players - the problem is only in the files I capture myself. I also tried another computer, and have similar results: RealPlayer OK, other players not ok.
I can't play back *anything* with PowerVCR II - it works only for viewing through the tuner and capturing (badly). If I try to play anything through it it bluescreens.
This has been going on since I first got this card & software about 18 months ago.
I've also used some of the codec-checkers available here, and they claim that the files with sync problems are "supported" by the codecs I have on hand.
I've also tried capturing through VirtualDub, but it crashes when I try any capturing.
