i'm creating some slideshows using adobe premiere. i've got the pictures moving across the screen using the 'motion' option. anyways, about half the pictures in the slideshow flicker pretty bad after being exported. i'm exporting using 'dv avi' and the flicker can be seen both on my computer screen and television. i'm tried reversing fields, using the deinterlaced filter, increasing the smooth motion option to the max... but can't seem to fix it. does anyone have any suggestions or help? please let me know and thank in advance.

If you have Photoshop, you can try running the NTSC filter on the images before importing into premeire. This will make the colors on the images more compatable with video.

    Hope that helps!

Try anti-alaising the pictures also or softening them. Digital pics have a built in alaising effect that creates a sharp image, but there are then lots of jagged edges and as they roll across the scan lines of the TV during playback, you get that nasty flickering effect. You wont even notice the loss in sharpness on the screen and I would personally trade that over constant flickering.

Some of the slideshow programs such as Ulead DVDPS, Picture To TV have antiflicker filters you cna apply. There is alo one for virtual dub too, but it didnt improve things for me much.
