I wouldn't buy this version as it does not support DVD+R. I have the HP200i and have been very happy with it, but it supports both +R and +RW. The +RW media is still quite a bit more than +R so it would be major drawback. The only way I would buy it is if it was REALLY cheap (like under $100).
