Hi!
I'm currently trying to convert my SVCD's to DVD's with subtitles. I have read tons of tutorials and I've made some progress.
I demultiplex the SVCD's with TMPGEnc and converts text-based subtitles to DVD-subtitles with Sub2sup. This I author with Ifoedit and it sort of works but...
1. The image is squashed on my Pioneer DVD-535. It clearly has problems with the VOBs that are 480 pixels wide because I can see in the IFO that it says 720 pixels. Should I change that, and how?
2. The subtitles are green and that's probably because I haven't loaded a palette. I haven't really understood how to do that but isn't there an easier way to change the color?
3. The SVCD movie was originally on 3 CD's. I can join them into one file but it's not working 100% since the single file causes problems in several programs. I think the best solution would be to avoid joining them but then I need a solution to join the VOBs or make them play as one movie with the subtitles continuing. Any ideas?
I hope someone can help.
Regards,
rfn
